When many think of Elk Country, elk are the first things that come to mind. But the area has much more to offer. When people travel to the area, some are successful at finding elk, but others are not. The best times to view elk are at dawn and dusk. They can be seen, free-roaming, all year round. Autumn is the most popular time, but you are just as likely to see them during the other seasons throughout the year.
Whether you are successful or unsuccessful at seeing elk, I encourage you to seek the other treasures Elk Country has to offer. Deer, bears, many species of birds, various hiking trails, beautiful landscapes and much more.
